A Celebration They’ll Talk About For Years
Your loved ones have traveled far, taking time away from their lives, booking long flights, and making real sacrifices to celebrate with you in Italy. You want to honor that gesture in a way that feels personal, meaningful, and extraordinary.
Live watercolor portraits say exactly that: “We see you. We’re so grateful you came.” They create a moment of connection during your celebration while giving guests an original work of art to take home.
Throughout your reception, the portrait table becomes a little salon within the celebration. Guests gather as painterly, impressionistic portraits come to life, watching familiar faces appear on paper, laughing together, sharing stories, and delighting in the experience.
There is a sense of theater, conversation, and genuine joy as each person is captured in watercolor. Then guests leave with loose, romantic hand-painted portraits inspired by the light and colors of Italy’s sunlit piazzas, olive groves, historic villas, and cobblestone streets.
Each watercolor brings back not just the day, but the feeling: the flutter of the bride’s dress during the first dance, candlelight on ancient stone, laughter over champagne and tagliolini with truffle. A tangible reminder that they were part of something extraordinary.
From intimate Tuscan celebrations to grand Lake Como affairs, live watercolor portraits are a timeless way to thank the people who crossed the world to celebrate with you.
The Collections
Each portrait is painted with care, never rushed. I watch how your guests move, smile, and interact, then paint their essence. Colorful, romantic, and full of charm.
How it Works
Before the Celebration
We’ll confirm the collection that fits your guest count and timing. Once the agreement is signed and deposit sent, your date is secured. I’ll also send a short questionnaire so I can better understand your vision, aesthetic, and timeline.
Arrival & Set Up
On the day of the event, my assistant and I arrive well before guests to quietly set up. All I need is a shaded rectangular table and two chairs placed somewhere scenic but unobtrusive.
Painting Throughout the Event
I paint steadily throughout the celebration, spritz in hand, as guests stop by to sign up or check on the growing lineup. Once it’s their turn, we snap a quick reference photo so they can head back to the party and keep mingling. My assistant keeps everything flowing — chatting with guests, managing the list, and displaying each finished piece. Each portrait takes about 8 to 10 minutes and captures soft poses and personal style. Guests come back throughout the night to pick up their portraits.
